SOP for management of apparent illness or sickness

SOP for management of apparent illness or sickness observed to the employee in factory premises

1.0 OBJECTIVE:

To describe the procedure for management of apparent illness or sickness to the employee in factory premises.

2.0 SCOPE:

The procedure is applicable for all employees working in the factory premises.

3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: 

Department Head – To ensure compliance of the SOP.

4.0 PROCEDURE:

4.1 Inform immediate superior in case of apparent sickness/illness. 

4.2 Department Head shall inform Personnel Dept. 

4.3 Personnel Dept. shall take necessary action such as arrangement for conveyance to reach the patient (sick employee) to doctor, if sickness is of serious nature. Or otherwise patient should be given first aid treatment.

4.4 Take advice of doctor (Medical Practitioner) and medicine accordingly, if prescribed 

4.5 Take rest at home as per advice of doctor and necessary for recovery.

4.6 Resume duties only after having declared fit from the doctor in writing.

4.7 Submit the Fitness Certificate to Personnel Dept.
