SOP for Preparation and Issuance of Job Responsibility
1.0 OBJECTIVE:
To define job responsibility.
2.0 SCOPE:
Key Person and all other employees.
(Key persons – Head of the department ( Q.C., Q.A., Production, Warehouse, H.R., Engineering, etc. All department heads are considered as key persons.)
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:
Head of the department / designee
4.0 PROCEDURE:
4.1 For key persons :
4.1.1 Unit/ Functional Head shall issue job responsibility to respective department heads in Annexure – I
4.1.2 Name of the person, who will be responsible in case of absence shall be mentioned.
4.1.3 Original copy of job responsibility shall be returned to the HR department.
4.2 For all other employees :
4.2.1 Job responsibility shall be issued by immediate superiors / department heads or designee.
4.2.2 Job functions , as mentioned in the Job Responsibility do not indicate that respective employee is trained in related job functions.
4.2.3 Concerned department head will ensure that respective employee is sufficiently trained for the job functions, as mentioned in the job responsibility before placing him/her on the job
4.2.4 Job responsibility shall be issued to the concerned employee by the department Head within 2 days of joining under heading “Job Responsibility Issued To (Employee Name)”. Annexure – I
4.2.5 If there is any change in the job responsibility of any employee the job responsibility of that employee shall be revised immediately and previous job responsibility shall be made obsolete.
