1.0 OBJECTIVE: 

To lay down procedure for management of janitor room.

2.0 SCOPE: 

T scope for placing Housekeeping Materials in Janitor Room.

3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: 

Head – HR and Housekeeping Supervisor – To ensure compliance to the procedure.

4.0 PROCEDURE: 

4.1 CONTENTS OF JANITOR ROOM 

Following items are to be stored in the janitor room. Use either pallets or suitable facility (like hooks) to keep the items. 

4.1.1 Cleaning devices like mops, vacuum cleaner, brushes, Wet mop, cleaning machine, Plastic broom, lint free duster and Rubber wiper.

4.1.2 Cleaning agent like soap solution, detergent powder, surfactant solution, stain removing acids.

4.1.3 Sanitizing & disinfecting agent like [Name the qualified disinfectants]

4.1.4 Cloth for cleaning purpose.

4.1.5 Deodorant balls and cakes.

4.2 USAGE OF JANITOR ROOM

4.2.1 At the time of usage, cleaning solution/ sanitizing solution may be prepared either in the janitor room or in the area of usage. Keep the container of cleaning agent/ sanitizing agent back in its place after preparation of the solution.

4.2.2 After completion of cleaning activity discard the used solution and clean the devices like mops, brooms buckets, wipers and brushes with fresh water and detergent.

4.2.2 Keep all the items in the respective place in janitor room. Hang the wipers and mopes on the hooks provided in the janitor room.

4.2.3 Do not store dirty cleaning devices or used cleaning/sanitizing solutions in the janitor Room.

4.2.4 Do not store any items other than those mentioned in the list “CONTENTS OF JANITOR ROOM” in the janitor room.
