SOP for Operating procedure for Vacuum Cleaner

1.0 OBJECTIVE:

To describe the operating procedure of Vacuum Cleaner.

2.0 SCOPE:

This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) covers the procedure for Operation of Vacuum Cleaner equipment No. [Specify No.].

3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:

3.1 Operating personnel to follow the SOP

3.2 Dept. In charge to ensure compliance

4.0 PROCEDURE:

4.1 Equipment No. [Specify No.] (for Receipt Area)

4.1.1 Remove the cover and bring the vacuum cleaner to the place where it is to be used inside receipt area.

4.1.2 Cross the “Cleaned” label before starting the operation.

4.1.3 Attach suitable sucker tail for cleaning the received material bags / material containers / area.

4.1.4 Connect with power supply and put the switch “ON” and again switch the start button “ON” of vacuum cleaner.

4.1.5 Clean the received material bags / containers / area by running the sucker tail of vacuum cleaner over it.

4.1.6 Switch “OFF” the vacuum cleaner, switch “OFF” the power supply and remove the electrical part.

4.1.7 Clean the outer surfaces of vacuum cleaner with clean dry lint free wipes and leave it in dedicated area inside de-dusting area.

4.1.8 Bring the cover from de-dusting area and cover it.

Note: – If sufficient vacuum is not obtained for cleaning, inform maintenance department and rectify the problem.

4.2 Equipment No. [Specify No.] (for Dispensing Area)

4.2.1 Cleaned vacuum cleaner for use in dispensing area is kept inside “cleaned container room”.

4.2.2 Transfer the vacuum cleaner to dispensing area for cleaning operations.

4.2.3 Remove and dispose the polythene cover of Vacuum cleaner.

4.2.4 Cross the “Cleaned” label before starting the operation.

4.2.5 Attach suitable sucker tail for cleaning the ceiling / wall / inner and outer parts of RLAF and for floors.

4.2.6 Connect with power supply and put the switch “ON”.

4.2.7 Run the sucker tail of vacuum cleaner over the ceiling / wall / inner and outer parts of RLAF and floors.

4.2.8 If sufficient vacuum is not getting for cleaning, inform maintenance department for rectification.

4.2.9 Switch “OFF” the vacuum cleaner after use and remove the electrical part.

4.2.10 Remove the sucker tail from the hosepipe and clean the outer surfaces with   clean dry lint free wipes and keep it inside a fresh polythene bag.

4.2.11 Clean the outer surfaces of vacuum cleaner with clean dry lint free wipes.

4.2.12 Cover fresh polythene bags on vacuum cleaner along with sucker tails and transfer to wash area.

4.2.13 Cleaning of vacuum cleaner is done only at the end of the shift and used vacuum cleaner is kept inside wash area. During cleaning of dispensing area, same vacuum cleaner is used and it is brought from wash area to dispensing area (the cleaned status label of the same will be crossed) and operate vacuum cleaner as per point nos. 4.2.5 to 4.2.13. 

4.3 Equipment No. [Specify No.] (for Sampling Area)

4.3.1 Cleaned Vacuum cleaner for Sampling area is kept inside Sampling area.

4.3.2 Remove and dispose the polythene cover of Vacuum cleaner prior to use.

4.3.3 Cross the Status Label “CLEANED” before starting the operation.

4.3.4 Attach suitable sucker for cleaning the ceiling / wall / inner and outer parts of RLAF (other than HEPA filter) / floors.

4.3.5 Connect with power supply and put the switch “ON”.

4.3.6 Run the vacuum cleaner over the ceiling / wall / inner and outer parts of RLAF/ floors.

4.3.7 If sufficient vacuum is not getting for cleaning, inform maintenance dept. for rectification.

4.3.8 Switch “OFF” the vacuum cleaner after use.

4.3.9 Clean the outer surfaces of vacuum cleaner with clean dry lint free wipes.

4.3.10    Cover fresh polythene bags on vacuum cleaner along with sucker tails and transfer to wash area.

4.3.11    Cleaning of vacuum cleaner is done at the end of the shift and used vacuum cleaner is kept inside wash area. During cleaning of Sampling area, same vacuum cleaner is used and it is brought from wash area to Sampling area (the cleaned status label of the same will be crossed) and operate vacuum cleaner as per point nos. from 4.3.4 to     Note: If the instruction given in Hindi found wrong (by translation), then treat the Instruction given in English as correct.
